Black Point Horseshoe

Rumson, New Jersey, Spring 2019/Fall 2019

Nestled on the north eastern tip of the small shore town of Rumson, NJ this design plan seeks to preserve existing views of Atlantic Highlands and more distant views of Gateway National Park by placing the main design components, such as the new barn and pool, towards the southern portion of the property. A small vegetable garden and orchard were placed on the northern portion of the site to maximize sun exposure and leave views from inside the home’s main living areas open to the existing meadow and New Jersey coastline. Other design elements that have been incorporated into this plan are a secret garden, an outdoor kitchen and a sport court.
